Things
The
leaves are falling, and the trees are getting bare. We will do
activities to help us learn about what is going with trees –n- things.
Getting Ready
for Winter
Squirrels
are storing nuts, animals fur is getting thicker, and everyone is
getting ready for winter. Let’s talk about how you and different
animals are preparing for the cold weather and snow.
Hibernation
Many
animals decide to sleep the whole winter away. This program is about
hibernation and how sleeping helps some animals survive the winter.
Bring along your favorite stuffed bear, and we will make it a home to
help it sleep during the cold winter months.

Spiders
Come
learn about these interesting creatures from what they eat to where they
live. Take a closer look at some spiders that live at the Science Center
Fun with
Feathers
Who
has feathers and why are they important? Join us for some fun looking at
feathers.
Dinosaur
Defenses
How
do different animals defend themselves? Learn about some defenses and
make a dinosaur to take home with you.
Who Likes the
Cold Weather?
How
do animals survive the cold, and which animals live where it gets cold.
As winter is setting in, we will explore winter time and how you and
animals can survive it.
Winter’s
Here
Join
us for the wonderful story, The Mitten by Jan Brett. This great
winter story will get us in the mood to learn about animals, snowflakes,
and much more. We also will have fun making and eating an edible
snowman.

It
is winter time and time for lots of snow. Join us as we look up close at
the snowflakes falling from the sky.

Your Tracks?
What
does your footprint look like? Let’s look at yours and other animals
that are making tracks in the snow.
Owls
Owls
are fun and interesting birds to explore. We will even show you how to
call an owl. Join us for an owling good time.
Spring’s
Return
Spring is here, and we will be investigating what
is going on outside. Birds are starting to return, the ice is starting
to melt, and it is time to make the maple syrup. We will explore all of
these seasonal changes and much more.
Eggs, Eggs,
Everywhere
We
will eggzamine who is laying eggs, different sizes of eggs, what hatches
out of eggs, and eat some eggcellent edible bird nests. Join us for this
eggstraordinary program.
Water Life
What
kinds of critters live in our lakes and streams? We will explore
turtles, fish, ducks, geese, and other creatures that call this habitat
home.

Bubbles
Bubbles bubbles, everywhere! Join us for some fun
making and playing with beautiful bubbles.

What
makes a fish a fish? Come explore these creatures that spend their time
under the water.

Have
you ever wondered what a turtle does all day? We will follow the life of
a turtle and make a turtle to take home with you.
Bird Nests
It is time for our feathered friends to start
building their nests. Learn where you might find a bird nest, and try
your hand or beak at building your very own nest

seed, apple seeds, and acorns- just some of many seeds we will
investigate during this program. Join us as we look at many different
kinds of seeds and what they might grow into.

Get into the holiday spirit by creating some fun,
science type crafts. Make and take home several items to use during this
festive time.
Animals of the Night
Do you ever wonder what is going on while you are
sleeping? Join us as we explore animals that are active at night.

They are so small, but so strong. Learn all about
these interesting insects- from the many jobs that they do to what they
have in their homes- under the ground.

Who has fur, fins, or feathers on their body? Come
explore many different creatures and what makes them look the way they

Red and yellow and pink and green- colors are
everywhere! Join us to search for the many colors that make the world
beautiful.
Bears
Learn all about those bears from what they eat to
where they live. Buzzin’ Bees
Who is the queen and
who are the worker bees? Bee part of our bee colony as we look at who
does what in a hive.
Tall Trees.
We climb them, we get food from them and we build our
houses out of them. Let's discover more about trees.
Snakes, spiders and lizards oh my!
Take a close look at some of the amazing animals that
live at the Science Center.

Mix and unmix colors. Combine 2 liquids to make a
solid. Try some cool chemistry!
