Available topics can be chosen from:
Cryogenics: See how we can bend steel without touching it,
make a bubble volcano, and liquefy your breath. Explore the properties
of extreme cold.
Combustion: Bing! Bang! Boom! Clouds of flame, balloon bombs
and flameproof money. Come and see the magic of chemistry.
Animals: They creep, crawl, wiggle and squirm, but they're
friendly!
Starlab: Tour space in our portable star lab. Learn about
stars, planets, constellations and other bodies in space. Not available
on Saturdays.
Raptors: Learn about birds-of-prey and find out what owl
pellets are all about.
2. BASIC THEME PARTY
- Our "theme" birthday parties have been quite a success. We do the
planning and preparation to occupy your child and friends for a party
with activities and fun! Choose from five theme ideas. The following
fees include: Party assistant, decorations, activities and programming,
and admission to exhibit floor. Balloons are available for
$1.00 each.
•Up to 10 kids and 4 adults: member - $95, non-member - $120
•Additional kids: member - $6, non-member - $6
•Additional non-member adults - $4
3. THEME PARTY WITH GIFT BAG
Includes: Party assistant, decorations, activities and
programming, admission to the
exhibit floor, and a gift bag for each child. Balloons are available for
$1.00 each.
•Up to 10 kids and 4 adults: member - $145, non-member
- $170
•Additional kids: member - $9, non-member - $9
•Additional non-member adults - $4
4. SUPER THEME PARTY
Includes: Party host for 1˝ hours, decorations, activities and
programming, admission to the
exhibit floor, a gift bag per child, cake, ice cream, beverages, and
party goods. Balloons are available for $1.00 each.
•Up to 10 kids and 4 adults: member - $170, non-member - $195
•Additional kids: member - $10, non-member - $10
•Additional non-member adults - $4
If total exceeds 20 people and additional
charge may be added to cover the cost of cake and ice cream.
The charge for additional non-member adults for all parties is
$4.00 if they are going on the exhibit floor. (Members are free).

Dinosaurs
Ages 3-6
Step back in time with dinosaurs and fossils. This party will explore
a favorite subject of many youngsters and is sure to be a dinomagic
time!
 Concoct a
Birthday
Ages 6-12
This party will definitely get your scientific juices flowing as you
concoct everything from slime to ice cream. The mad scientist will even
join your party, which is sure to be an explosive event!
A Birthday with the Stars
Ages 9-12
This space experience will take your birthday party out of this
world. Visit the Starlab and tour the nighttime sky. This party will be
a journey that you will never forget!

Animals
All Ages
They may be creepy and
crawly, but they are also fascinating and fun to hold. Come meet the
animals at HSC!
Raptors
 Raptors,
or birds of prey is a popular topic (they are alive). A hands-on
activity will include an examination of owl pellets.
We also offer customized birthday parties. We can
design parties featuring catapults, flight, electricity or other science
themes. Please book at least three weeks in advance so our staff
can design the perfect
party.
